last nights show.
Since I’m waiting to use the shower I’ll write stuff. Last night Chris had two shows in succession. The first was at an illegal bar (a guy’s apartment basically) and it was a little variety show. It was fun. The absurdity of these two men hosting a show on their back patio like it was some sort of TV variety show was great! Then we went to Clintons for a fund raiser for this… er can’t remember what they are called but they make vegan and healthy alternative foods for homeless people. Cool idea and they show was fun. There was an Asian Elvis impersonator, Mysterion and sistinas. Ok let me just say this Asian Elvis is WICKED!! He was a great singer. He had the latter-day’s Elvis down pat! Plus the weirdness factor! Mysterion went on for 50 minutes and didn’t’ loose the audiences attention once. I think I’ve finally got the penny character. I think I’m comfortable enough with her now that I can maybe have conversations with people as her. Just in time for the film festival. And I love Sistinas! She’s so fucking dry, and droll it’s sassy! Haha! I said sassy! She had a fabulous dress on. Oh I can’t even express how much I loved that dress. The funny thing about Sistinas as a burlesque dancer is that you kinda don’t notice how good she is. She’s extremely subtle and understated in her movement and facial expressions, but she’s got such great ideas, and attention to details, and is very, er… not powerful….. Engaging on stage. I think that might be the right word.
Anyway. The shower is free so I’m going to clean.
