My first trip to Toronto Island

I had one of the most wonderful days ever on friday. Chris took me to Toronto Island for the first time ever in my entire life. Seriously. Never been before. But it was such a simple joyful day. Very pure and perfect. I liked the boat ride a lot. I always like boat rides though.

We imediatly went to Centerville, and went on the "Haunted" dark ride, which was silly, (not scary) and fun. Then we went on the sky ride (basicaly a ski lift that you go all the way around on). Chris was terrified at first (the height, the falling off possibilities) but when he calmed down, he told me about the different things that had happend on past trips to the island. I admired the view. When it went over the pond, everything became quite, and you could barely hear the yelling kids, and day trippers. It was so calming.

Then we went to have our lunch in one of the parks beside the flower gardens, near the beach. We had: Mixed olives, buddha mix saigon subs, Old Chedder, Samosas, Cherries, other fruits, gatorade and water. Of course when the Seagulls caught wind of the fact that we were eating they came to beg from us. We threw a hot pepper at one, and started laughing when he refused to eat it. That bird was so mad!!! All ruffled up and squaking. We started throwing cherry and olive pits to trick them, or throw real food then start running at them. A very young Orthodox Jewish family laughed as they watched us tormenting the birds. When a large group of the gulls had formed, Chris threw a whole samosa in the middle of them. It was MADNESS!!! It took 19 seconds for over 40 seagulls to Shread that samosa to bits.

Then we went into the maze, ran around screaming "Danny Boy!!!!" (The Shining) and ocassionaly stoping to make out when no kids were around. We went back to centerville, where we took the train ride, and I explained how side shows, fairgrounds, and other classic forms of entertainment came about because of the industreal revolution equaling the creation of the middle class who had disposible income and time.

Then we went on one of the classic examples of this form of entertainment: The marry-go-round. The last time Chris ever saw his grandmother before she died was when he was ten, and she took him to centerville. For the longest time he could not go on, or near that Marry-go-round because he would picture his dead grandma standing by the marry-go-round, watching him ride, and it would make him cry. But that friday we created a newer, happier memory for him: The two of us, sitting side by side on matching up-and-down ostraches, giggling while I had my Chinese parosol open over my shoulder.

I then got him to win me a little Spongebob Squarepants plush figure, that I needed for use in my spongebob Burlesque routine.

We went to the petting zoo (I had been singing all day, "goats, goats, goats, goats! goats, goats, goats, goats! Where are the goats?!") yelled at the goats and their funny eyes, swooned over the piglets (so cute!!) wrote silly prank things on the animal feeding board in the barn, yelled about the "ass", and stared at the peacock.

It was one of the funnest, most stress-free days of my life. It will be a beautiful memory kept forever in my soul.

UI should keep up on my writing. I can't believe how low my stats have become!
